the cave at wai iti

A year ago , when we went to Wai iti , we came across a cave beneath the cliffs at low tide. golden clay had fallen and smashed to the bottom of the wet  obsidian black sand. Like some surface of the moon. In my mind , I had invisualised  filming these cliffs and the clay  again when we went back this time and came all prepared with a video camera. I had forgotten of course how much the sea line constantly changes and of course the cave would be nothing like it was.

A year ago....
